The incident that occurred on August 20, 2025 in the village of Hamallaj, Shijak, is being investigated, where a 28-year-old, Liridon Rata, was injured during a violent conflict that began with hard objects and ended with firearms. The conflict arose for weak motives, related to the parking of a vehicle near the perpetrators' beach area.
From the first investigative actions, the Police arrested Altin Lekgegaj, 37 years old, and Armen Sabliqi, 18 years old, while Lekgegaj's brother and nephew, as well as another person involved, are being sought. During the searches, two knives and hard objects were seized, which will serve as material evidence.
The first investigative actions resulted in the fact that on 20.08.2025, at around 17:00, in the village of Hamallë Sektor, Sukth Unit, Durrës, in the area of the Adriatic coast, the 37-year-old, in collaboration with his brother and nephew, after a conflict for weak motives with Liridon Rata, related to the parking of the vehicle in front of the 37-year-old's beach area, a conflict which initially started with hard objects and then using a firearm that he was carrying without a permit, attempted to kill the 28-year-old, a resident of Kolesjan, Kukës.
The 28-year-old man suffered injuries from the shooting and is in a stable condition at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. During the examination of the scene, hard objects such as wooden sticks used in the conflict were found.
