The full testimony of waiter Alteo Pepa, who was at the bar where the double murder occurred in the early hours of the morning in Manëz, Durrës, has been revealed.
In his testimony before the investigative group, the waiter described in detail the moments before the gunfight, in which Aranit Kurti, 23, and Flori Paluçi, 33, both residents of the Manza area, lost their lives.
"Daniel Pepa and Aranit Kurti came to the bar around 1:00–1:30 and asked for coffee. I told him there was no coffee, that the espresso machine had been turned off. He told me he definitely wanted it, but I explained that it was not available at that time. He got angry and at that moment Flori intervened, to come to my side, and an argument started between them. They left the bar and went to the door and Flori Paluçi shot Aranit, Daniel's friend. Then Daniel took the gun and shot Flori, leaving him dead," the waiter told investigators.
The incident occurred at around 01:45, in the premises of a bar near a gas station in Manëz.
A gas station employee, who arrived in the morning, recounts his shock:
"I came in the morning and found the gas station surrounded by crime scene tape. They told me not to come closer, that something had happened. It shocked us all, they were polite guys," he said.
According to preliminary investigation sources, it all started over a rejected coffee, which then turned into a gunfight.
