The circumstances of the murder of Rexhep Ismail and the injury of Kostandin Vogli last evening in Qafë Gjashtë have been clarified.
The investigations revealed that at around 21:20, citizens Lulzim Tabaku, Idriz Çela, Eljo Muço, Kostandin Vogli, Marjo Agalliu and Ermal Shkalla went to the bar of the victim Rexhep Ismail.
The group of people headed towards the table where citizen Tori Ruçi was sitting, who was in the company of Ismail and other people present, and immediately began hitting these citizens with hard objects.
"During the violent conflict, it turns out that the victim Rexhep Ismaili took an automatic firearm and fired at the citizens involved in the conflict.
Following the incident, it is suspected that citizen Lulzim Tabaku fired a pistol at citizen Rexhep Ismaili, who consequently lost his life at the scene," said the director of the Vlora Police, Elidon Çela, at a press conference.
During the exchange of fire, citizen Kostandin Vogli was also wounded in the leg. He surrendered to the police just a few hours ago and after being questioned was transferred for medical assistance to the Vlora regional hospital.
After the incident, all citizens involved in the conflict left the scene. Meanwhile, it is suspected that Hajredin Ismaili, the victim's brother, left the scene and hid the automatic firearm along with a magazine with 21 cartridges that were found and seized by the Police.
"Also, other material evidence was seized, specifically an 'Audi Q8' type vehicle, cartridges and shells of various calibers, as well as other items that will serve to continue the investigation. During further checks, the motorcycle was found abandoned in the village of Nivicë, with which the suspected perpetrator, citizen Lulzim Tabaku, is suspected of having fled the scene," Çela announced.
Meanwhile, in neighborhood no. 1, Saranda, an “Audi” vehicle was found and blocked, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators involved in the incident. The police said that operations to arrest the suspects are continuing, while inviting citizens to cooperate by providing any valuable information for the capture of the wanted citizens.
Suspects:
Lulzim Tabaku, 37 years old – charged with the criminal offenses of “Intentional Murder” and “Unlicensed Weapon Possession”.
Idriz Çela, 40 years old, Eljo Muço, 19 years old, Kostandin Vogli, 31 years old, Marjo Agalliu, 22 years old and Ermal Shkalla, 21 years old – charged with the criminal offenses of “Threat” and “Destruction of Property”.
Hajredin Ismaili, 60 years old, brother of the victim Rexhep Ismaili, is being prosecuted.
