The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hitaj, has "set" the limit for the Democratic Party to protest, while warning that if it is violated, they will face the reaction of the law enforcement forces.
In a press conference, Hitaj stated that the protest was authorized to take place on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard and must remain within this perimeter.
"The State Police has taken all measures to ensure that the protest is organized and conducted in a calm and peaceful manner. Permission has been requested for the 'Martyrs of the Nation' boulevard and it should be concentrated there. In the event of illegal actions by the protesters, action will be taken based on standard procedures and on the basis of the law and the Criminal Code," declared the police chief.
We recall that in the last DP protest, the police had a different reaction than before, immediately intervening against the protesters and dispersing the group that was throwing Molotov cocktails. The police did not spare the DP deputies either, physically clashing and using spray against them.
