The GJKKO postponed the trial against the mayor of Roskovec, Majlinda Bufi, to May 21.
The local official is accused of "using her office for political and electoral activities."
The reason for the postponement was the absence of Bufi, who, through her lawyer, presented several travel tickets to prove that she was abroad for several days, as a guest at a workshop.
"Because we are in the phase of the defense's conclusions, the defendant wishes to be present," said her lawyer Klodian Skënderi.
The trial against Bufi has been postponed several times, until the court declared that it would consider the failure to present its conclusions as a lack of will and would announce the decision. SPAK had previously requested that Bufi be sentenced to 1 year in prison, converting it into 2 years of probation.
