Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will pay an official visit to the United States next week at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, where he is expected to hold a meeting at the White House.
According to Israeli media, citing a statement from the prime minister's office, Netanyahu will depart for Washington on Monday, while the meeting with Trump is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the White House.
During his stay in the US, the head of the Israeli government will also attend the funeral ceremony of US Senator Lindsey Graham.
The visit comes after Netanyahu had previously canceled a planned trip to Washington. On July 16, his office announced that the funeral ceremony had been postponed until the end of the month, which also changed the Israeli prime minister's agenda.
The meeting between Trump and Netanyahu is expected to take place at a delicate moment for the region, as the conflict with Iran and recent developments in the Middle East remain at the center of international attention.
