The Saranda Police announce that they have identified and are searching for the perpetrator of the murder of Rexhep Ismail in Saranda. It is suspected that another person was also injured in the incident.

At around 9:30 PM, in the place called "Qafë Gjashtë", in the bar owned by citizen RI, during a conflict for motives that will be revealed during the investigation, between several people, where initially the conflict started with hard objects and then with the use of firearms, citizen RI, 66 years old, resident of Qafë Gjashtë, Saranda, was killed.
It is also suspected that another citizen was injured during the gunfire conflict, who has not yet presented himself for medical assistance and has not been identified.
From the initial investigative actions and information obtained at the scene, it is suspected that citizen LT shot and killed citizen RI and then left the scene together with the other persons involved and the citizen who is suspected of being injured.
Police services have set up checkpoints and are combing the area to capture the perpetrator and the people involved in the conflict.
At the same time, checks are being carried out in regional hospitals and private clinics, with the aim of identifying and locating the suspected injured citizen.
The investigation team is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing actions to fully clarify and legally document the incident.
