New details have come to light from last night's incident in Saranda, where Rexhep Ismaili was killed. The cause of the 66-year-old's murder is suspected to have been a property dispute again. Rexhep Ismaili and his brothers had a gas station in the "Qafë Gjashtë" area, where the other party went to clarify a property dispute. During the discussion between them, there were arguments that escalated into a physical conflict. At one point, the Ismaili tribe members drew their weapons to shoot at the people who had come. But the other party reacted immediately by shooting directly and killing Rexhep Ismaili. They immediately left the scene, but it is suspected that one of them was injured.
In a statement to the media, the police say they have identified the perpetrator, while work is underway to fully elucidate the motive for the conflict.

At around 9:30 PM, in the place called "Qafë Gjashtë", in the bar owned by citizen RI, during a conflict for motives that will be revealed during the investigation, between several people, where initially the conflict started with hard objects and then with the use of firearms, citizen RI, 66 years old, resident of Qafë Gjashtë, Saranda, was killed.
It is also suspected that another citizen was injured during the gunfire conflict, who has not yet presented himself for medical assistance and has not been identified.
From the initial investigative actions and information obtained at the scene, it is suspected that citizen LT shot and killed citizen RI and then left the scene together with the other persons involved and the citizen who is suspected of being injured.
Police services have set up checkpoints and are combing the area to capture the perpetrator and the people involved in the conflict.
At the same time, checks are being carried out in regional hospitals and private clinics, with the aim of identifying and finding the suspected injured citizen. The investigative group is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing actions to fully clarify and legally document the incident.
