The family of Petrit Ndout, who was killed with a hammer by suspect Andis Vokrri, has given another version of the event, emphasizing that the victim lost his life while intervening to save elderly people and not as a result of a personal conflict.
According to Gjystina Ndout, the deceased's wife, the incident occurred around midnight, as they were returning from a family celebration in Bushnesh. On the way, they saw two vehicles blocked by another vehicle, whose driver was exercising verbal and physical violence against the people inside, who were elderly.
Petrit Ndou got out of the car to intervene and help them, asking the aggressor to stop the violence. He managed to get the elderly out of danger, directing their vehicles to leave to a safe place. After this moment, two more people got out of the aggressor's car and the situation escalated.
Gjystina Ndou says that the aggressors continued the violence, took Petrit Ndou's car keys, hit the car and pushed him. Fearing that they might be armed, the couple hid for a few minutes and notified the police and family for help.
Petrit Ndou then returned to his vehicle, thinking the attackers had left. Moments later, he was viciously struck in the head from behind with a hammer, dying instantly.
According to the testimony, after the incident, one of the aggressors also tried to find Gjystina Ndoun, but left when her family members arrived. Police arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect Andis Vokrri in flagrante delicto.
The victim's family emphasizes that Petrit Ndou lost his life trying to protect others from violence.
