The prosecution reveals the details of Liridona Ademaj's murder: Ex-husband

In the trial against the three accused for the murder of Liridona Ademaj, on the evening of November 29, 2023, the testimony of expert Naim Uka, who performed the autopsy of the deceased's body, was heard.

Naim Murseli (her ex-husband), Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava, who is suspected of being the executioner, are accused of executing the woman.

According to Kallxo.com, expert Uka said that the victim was shot from a distance of 2 to 5 centimeters. At the same time, Uka ruled out the possibility that Ademaj's murder occurred by holding the gun to his head.

"During the examination of the entrance wound - around the entrance hole, we found the presence of additional factors of the shooting, which caused the skin burn - with the presence of gunpowder particles - and based on this forensic evidence, it was found that the shooting distance was around 2-5 centimeters. The possibility of killing by stabbing or semi-stabbing is excluded due to the lack of imprinting of the gun barrel in the soft tissues through the entrance hole of the wound," said Uka.

According to him, this wound resulted in external and internal bleeding, which was the cause of death.

Uka said that the possibility of suicide was ruled out after they examined the deceased in both hands and did not notice any gunpowder or blood stains on her hands.

Furthermore, as additional evidence that was taken as a basis to exclude the possibility of suicide, is the lack of numbness of the index finger.

"Based on the presence or absence of additional factors of the shooting and blood stains (splatters), the possibility that the same person used a weapon or committed suicide has been eliminated. The lack of cataleptic numbness of the index finger is another additional piece of evidence," said Uka.

During the examination of Ademaj's body, according to him, in addition to the wound caused by the gunshot, a bruise on the left hand was also observed, which "was created before or after the murder."

"In this specific case, during the external physical examination, a subcutaneous hematoma was found, measuring approximately 6 by 1.5 centimeters in the upper and outer region of the left arm. This hematoma was described with red and blue discolorations. Such discoloration itself, based on medical-legal literature and forensic practices, proves that this hematoma was caused before or during the murder of the deceased." - said Uka.

According to the expert, the bruise on the left arm could have occurred about three hours before Liridona Ademaj's murder, but it could not have been caused after she died, since "blood circulation ceased at the moment of her murder."

"Physiological processes in the human body cease to function upon the death of the deceased. In this sense, a hematoma, or blood flow, cannot develop, since blood circulation is interrupted. Therefore, the red coloration, based on all forensic literature, regardless of the time when the forensic autopsy was performed, clearly indicates that the subcutaneous blood collection, or hematoma, was caused by the moment of murder and 24 hours before the murder. Or based only on the red coloration, it does not exceed three hours before the murder." - said Uka.

The expert did not mention the vehicle that caused the bruise on his left arm, but explained the characteristics of the vehicle that could have caused this bruise.

"The damage described in this region, based on its characteristics, was caused by the action of a blunt,

After being confronted by the prosecutor about his statement given at the Prosecutor's Office and what he stated at the hearing, he said that the possibility of the use of a hand or some other blunt instrument cannot be ruled out.

"The possibility of the action of a hand or any other tool with blunt-shaped characteristics is not excluded," said Uka.

The trial panel in this criminal case is composed of Fatime Dermaku (presiding judge), Gent Beka and Alban Ajvazi (members). While the indictment in this case is being represented by prosecutor Javorka Perlinçević.

The third defendant is Kushtrim Kokalla, a relative of Naim Murseli. The file shows that Kokalla had refused to commit the murder, but that he later found Granit Plava and introduced him to Naim Murseli.

Kokalla is also charged with the criminal offense of "aggravated murder". And, the fourth defendant in this case is Tom Dodaj. He is being charged with "supplying weapons" to the first three suspects, who planned and carried out the murder. The fourth defendant in this case, Tom Dodaj, has pleaded guilty, saying that he voluntarily accepts guilt for the criminal offense of "unauthorized import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, brokerage or sale of weapons or explosive materials".

Tom Dodaj was sentenced to 5 years in prison and a 5,000 euro fine by the Court of Pristina for the criminal offense of "unauthorized import, export, supply, transportation, production, exchange, brokerage or sale of weapons or explosive materials." Kallxo.com
