Other shocking details have been revealed regarding the murder of a 55-year-old Albanian man on Sunday evening in Greece, a serious event that has shocked the local community in the Messinia area.
According to Greek media, the incident occurred at around 8:30 PM in the evening at the well-known campsite in the Finikunda area, where a still unidentified person suddenly entered the reception area and fired a gun at the campsite owner, a man around 70 years old, a resident of the area.
A few meters away, police also found a 55-year-old Albanian man, who worked at the campsite and was a close friend of the owner, dead. Preliminary investigations indicate that the Albanian was shot dead as he tried to leave the scene after hearing the gunshots. He was unable to escape, remaining lifeless near the reception.
Police forces, alerted by local residents who heard the gunshots, immediately arrived at the scene, where they found the bodies of the two victims covered in blood. Both men had died instantly.
According to investigative sources, about ten days ago the owner of the campsite had been the subject of an attack and threats by unknown persons. However, he had not filed a police report, avoiding the involvement of the authorities and escalating the situation.
The suspected perpetrator fled immediately after the incident and is currently on the run. Greek police forces have launched a large-scale search operation in the area to identify and arrest him.
