Former Deputy Director of the Elbasan Police, Krenar Guçe, testified this Thursday at the Special Court in the trial against the defendants in the "Golden Bullet" case.
Guçe is under police protection, as investigations following the arrest of Nuredin Dumani, who holds the status of a repentant, revealed that he had been targeted for assassination.
He stated that he was informed of this fact by the former Director General of Police, Gledis Nano, and subsequently received two-year protection.
Guçe said during his testimony that a photo of him was found on the phone of the repentant justice Nuredin Dumani, but added that he was not fully aware of the moment of the threat.
Fatos Gosa's lawyer: Have you been threatened while performing your duties?
Guçe: While performing my duty, the former Director General of the State Police called me and informed me that certain people had malicious intentions towards me. They had my photo on their phone and for this reason I had state protection for 2 years. My photo was found on Duman's phone. On November 5, 2021, I suffered an accident, I broke my leg. I stayed for 6 months with a report. They did not give me any explanations about the threat. The state gave me protection.
