Storm in the State Police after the arrival of the new director Skënder Hita. VNA learns that the head of the Operational Department, Melsi Koçi, has been removed from his post and Alban Dauti has been appointed in his place. The latter had been the head of the Anti-Terror Department and was replaced in this position by Mond Sula.
It is also learned that the director of Kukës, Loard Sallaku, and the director of Lezha, Islor Islami, have also been removed from their duties. In Tirana, deputy director Oliger Torba, who was previously deputy director in Fier and subordinate to Hitaj, has been appointed.
Sources say that other changes have been made in Dibër, Berat and other directorates.
