AMP has launched an internal investigation after the incident that occurred at the roundabout near Rinas, where its employee M.Sh. was injured.
The Director General, Eduart Merkaj, ordered the suspension of the chain of command of the Special Operations Force until the circumstances are fully clarified.
The responsible agencies and the State Police are collaborating to verify the agent's recruitment procedures since September 2025.
Police Supervision Agency Response
Given the media interest and the sensitivity of the incident that occurred yesterday at the roundabout near the "Mother Teresa" airport, which also involved the employee of the Police Supervision Agency, M.Sh, who was injured and is receiving medical assistance, AMP has immediately initiated an internal verification of the administrative procedures followed as well as a full practice with the relevant agencies and the State Police, regarding his recruitment procedure, since September 2025.
Meanwhile, the General Director of the Police Supervision Agency, Eduart Merkaj, has ordered the suspension of the chain of command of the AMP Special Operational Force structure until the circumstances of the incident are fully clarified.
