As part of the investigation into the poisoning of students at the Security Academy, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office has summoned the head of the Security Academy, Ersid Hasanllari, for statements on Tuesday. He is expected to be questioned about previous inspections carried out at the institution.
The following day, on Wednesday, the director of the IHP and the head of the Tirana Local Unit's Healthcare will also appear for statements.
It was previously reported that the AKU has not yet submitted the documentation and results requested for the case to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, despite a previous request from the prosecution. Investigators are verifying whether preliminary checks were conducted and what results the analyses on the food products consumed at the academy yielded.
Meanwhile, the prosecution is awaiting the forensic report, which is expected to definitively determine the causes of the poisoning.
A day earlier, the AKU announced that laboratory tests have revealed the presence of Escherichia coli and staphylococcus in pasta samples taken from the kitchen of the Sauk Security Academy.
