The Shkodra Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on Julian Cumraku and Erzen Uka, arrested on November 24 by RENEA forces in the village of Orosh in Fushë-Arrëz, on suspicion of participating in terrorist organizations and producing weapons of war.
During the police operation and search of the apartment, authorities seized 4 automatic firearms, a pistol, 17 defensive hand grenades, combat ammunition, electric detonator caps, a fuse, two cartridges, as well as a flag of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization, placed on the wall among the weapons found.
During the court hearing, Erzen Uka's lawyer, Roland Islami, stated that he requested that the arrest be declared illegal, arguing that his client has no connection to the seized weapons. According to him and Uka's statements, he was only in the apartment because he was called by his friend, Julian Cumrraku.
Erzen Uka, 35 years old, originally from Gjormi i Kurbinit, has been previously convicted of the criminal offense of "Inciting hatred and quarrels." While Julian Cumrraku, 34 years old, born in Puka, has criminal precedents for "Theft" and "Threats."
Both arrested are accused of several serious criminal offenses, including:
"Incitement, public call and propaganda for the commission of acts with terrorist intent",
"Manufacture of weapons of war",
"Unauthorized possession and manufacture of explosive weapons and ammunition",
"Opposition of a public order police officer".
Investigations into the case continue, while both suspects will remain in prison pending further procedural developments.
