The Special Court ordered SPAK to make available the files of the investigation file of the defendant Ilir Meta, former President of the Republic. During Friday's hearing, Meta claimed that he was not familiar with the documents, because they are in electronic form and he is unable to access them in detention. The court decided, based on this request, to postpone the hearing to December 22 and to order SPAK to make the documents available to him within a week. Ilir Meta, his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, and three other associates are accused of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. The former President has been in detention since October 21, 2024.
