The court hearing for the assessment of the arrest and the determination of the security measure against Xhension Toromeni, 25 years old, accused of the murder of his neighbor, Besmir Kumria, 32 years old, an event that occurred two days ago in the village of Kryekuq in Divjaka, concluded today. The hearing was presided over by Judge Aurora Tushe, who imposed the security measure of “arrest with indefinite imprisonment”, assessing the arrest of the 25-year-old as lawful. The prosecution, represented by prosecutor Kristi Jorgji, filed serious charges against Toromeni for the criminal offenses of “premeditated murder” and “unauthorized possession of cold weapons”.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident took place in a bar in the village of Kryekuq, where after a brief argument, Toromeni allegedly stabbed his neighbor, causing his immediate death. Sources indicate that the conflict between the two neighbors began about two years ago, when during a dispute over irrigation canal water, the victim slapped Toromeni's father. This unsolved incident is suspected to have led to the serious criminal act.
After committing the crime, the perpetrator fled the scene, but was arrested by the police a few hours later, while fleeing. At the time of his arrest, he is said to have declared to the blue uniforms that his action was motivated by a desire for revenge for the insult and violence against his father in the past.
