Xhension Toromeni, 25 years old, has arrived at the Fier Court, accused of the murder of his neighbor, Besmir Kumria, 32 years old, an event that occurred two days ago in the village of Kryekuq, Divjaka.
The hearing for the assessment of the arrest and the assignment of security measures against the young man is led by Judge Aurora Tushe, while the prosecution is represented by Prosecutor Kristi Jorgji.
The prosecution has filed serious charges against Toromeni for "premeditated murder" and "unlicensed possession of cold weapons," after it is suspected that he stabbed his neighbor, causing his instant death.
The incident took place in a bar in the village of Kryekuq, where the two neighbors faced off after an early conflict. Investigations show that the quarrel had its origins about two years ago, during a fight over water from the irrigation canal, where Kumria had slapped Toromeni's father. It was this ongoing conflict that is suspected to have led to the fatal collision.
After the crime, the perpetrator fled the scene, but was caught a few hours later on the run by the police. During his arrest, Toromeni is said to have told officers that the crime was an act of revenge for the previous insult and violence against his father.
