Former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj, accused of the Sterilization concession, continues the debates at the GJKKO after the change of the charge by the judge of the previous session.
He has been charged with "theft" by abusing his position within a criminal group.
Beqaj claimed at the hearing that the minutes are incomplete.
"I haven't received all the minutes yet. I'm in a situation where I don't know how to defend myself. I have requested the minutes from the previous court with insistence," he said.
Beqaj requested a CD of the audio recording during the preliminary hearings where the accusation was discussed.
Beqaj's lawyer said that his client is unable to listen to the audio-recorded hearing debates.
"We need a "Sunday" apparently, because you have to buy the CD for a fee, so it's up to you to buy the charge. I will request the court to bring me a computer to listen to it, but you must order the Prisons Directorate to allow me," he further emphasized.
After hearing the parties, the court decided to postpone the process to give Beqaj's lawyers time to make their requests in order to obtain the CD of the previous hearings. The next hearing was postponed to October 30.
