Police have provided details regarding the operation with 14 arrests in Elbasan.
Elbasan/As a result of the rapid administration of information obtained through operational channels, the police operation codenamed "Fast" was finalized under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to crack down on criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons.
3 firearms, pistols and combat ammunition, electroshock (neuroparalyzing gloves), 4 police radios, a vest with the inscription "Police", a pistol-shaped object, a signaler (a metal object in the shape of a pistol), a knife, a metal baton, a sum of money, 4 vehicles, 13 mobile phones and a DVR
were seized. The 14 citizens who owned them were arrested, who were caught red-handed in a bar in Bradashesh.
Arrested citizens with a significant criminal record in the field of crimes against the person and in the field of narcotics (recidivists), as well as with high social risk.
Following the intensive work to prevent and crack down on the criminal activity of illegal possession of weapons, the services of the Elbasan Police Commissariat have provided information about a case of illegal possession of weapons. As a result of the immediate administration of this information, the police operation codenamed "Fast" was organized and finalized in cooperation with the services of the Special Force "Eagle" and the Special Operational Force, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office.
As part of the operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
-ET, 39 years old, HM, 25 years old, AK, 49 years old, MS, 47 years old, BM, 53 years old, JM, 30 years old, AD, 49 years old, ED, 29 years old, residents of Tirana;
-TZ, 52 years old, SM, 46 years old, EC, 36 years old, EC, 32 years old, residents of Elbasan, BH, residents of Italy and a 17-year-old (son of citizen TZ).
During the operation, the Police services intervened in the premises of citizen TZ, in the village of Bradashesh, where these 14 citizens were staying. During the search of the premises, 3 firearms and combat ammunition were found.
Further, during the search of these citizens' homes, electroshock (neuroparalytic gloves), 4 police radios, a vest with the inscription "Police", a pistol-shaped object, a signaler (a metal object in the shape of a pistol), a knife, a metal stick, a sum of money, 4 vehicles, 13 cell phones and a DVR were found.
Investigations are ongoing to fully document the criminal activity and determine the criminal responsibility of each of the arrested citizens.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for the criminal offenses "Unauthorized production and possession of combat weapons and ammunition", "Opposition of a public order police officer", "Failure to report a crime", "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth", "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime", "Unauthorized wearing of a uniform" and "Unauthorized production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons", committed in collaboration.
