Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on US targets in Bahrain and Kuwait, in another escalation of tensions in the Middle East, after the seventh consecutive night of US military operations against Iranian targets.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the target was the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, where American fighter jets are deployed.
Iranian state media reported that a fuel supply pier at Al Ahmadi Port, as well as a data and communications center, were also hit in Kuwait.
On the other hand, the Kuwaiti military announced that air defense systems intercepted missiles and drones launched by Iran, preventing them from hitting targets.
Due to the security situation, authorities temporarily suspended air traffic, while Kuwait International Airport was closed. Kuwait Airways announced that flights have been rescheduled after measures were taken to ensure security.
These developments mark another increase in tensions between the US and Iran, as military clashes between the two countries have continued for several days.
