Russian-occupied Crimea is facing severe problems with electricity and fuel supplies, with local authorities admitting that the situation is becoming increasingly difficult.
The Moscow-installed leader of the peninsula, Sergei Aksyonov, said that daily supplies of gasoline at gas stations cannot be guaranteed.
“At the moment, daily supplies of fuel cannot be guaranteed,” Aksyonov said, adding that authorities are trying to manage the crisis.
Serious problems have also been reported with electricity. According to him, it is currently not possible to draw up a plan that would ensure an even distribution of energy across the entire territory of Crimea.
Fuel shortages and power outages have raised concerns about their impact on basic services, food supplies and the daily lives of residents.
The situation is related to developments in the war in Ukraine, including attacks on energy and logistics infrastructure under Russian control. Authorities in Crimea have not given a deadline for when supplies are expected to normalize.
