Israeli forces carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling in several areas of the Gaza Strip early Saturday, marking the latest violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 2025.
Local sources told Anadolu that Israeli artillery hit the eastern parts of Gaza City, areas that, according to the ceasefire agreement, are under Israeli control.
According to the same sources, an Israeli warplane hit a target in the northern Gaza Strip, while a military helicopter opened fire towards the eastern areas of the city of Jabalia.
In southern Gaza, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the city of Rafah, while Israeli military vehicles fired on areas north of the city, which remains fully under Israeli control.
Since October 2023, the Israeli army has killed more than 71,400 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 171,000 others in a brutal offensive that has left the enclave in ruins.
Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army has continued its attacks, killing 424 Palestinians and wounding 1,189 others, according to the Health Ministry.
