Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has reacted to the recent statements of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who said that "the world is heading towards a major conflict" and that "everyone is preparing for war."
Osmani called these statements dangerous calls that recall the darkest chapters of history. She said that, just like in the 1990s with Milosevic, Serbia is using propaganda and hate rhetoric to destabilize the region.
"Vučić has not chosen the path of reconciliation, but is reviving the destructive fantasies of the past. History has shown that they end in failure," Osmani wrote on the X platform.
The President emphasized that Kosovo has chosen peace and will defend it at all costs. She added that, unlike Serbia, Kosovo remains committed to dialogue and stability in the region.
Vučić's statements came during the European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen, where he spoke about countries' preparations for war, without providing any concrete evidence for his claims.
