A 55-year-old man from Rome has publicly claimed to be the secret son of legendary Italian singer Adriano Celentano, seeking verification of paternity through a DNA test.
Antonio Maria Segatori made the statement in an interview with the Italian magazine Oggi, where he revealed that his mother, Maria Luigia Biscardi, had been a young singer in the 1960s and had joined the artistic group "Clan Celentano". According to him, it was during that period that she had a relationship with Celentano.
Segatori said he wants nothing more than to know the truth and that he is willing to go to court to request a DNA test that would determine whether the singer is his biological father.
On the other hand, Adriano Celentano reacted with irony on social media, denying the claim. "I'm sorry to say... I'm not your father. In fact, I'm your grandfather," he wrote.
The story has made headlines in the Italian media and it remains to be seen whether the case will end in a legal process to verify the claim.
