Israeli airstrikes hit 10 railway lines and bridges across Iran, hours after Israel threatened attacks on railway infrastructure across the country, Anadolu reports.
Military Radio claims that the attacks targeted locations allegedly used for transporting weapons and missile platforms.
Iranian media reported on American-Israeli attacks on railway infrastructure in several areas of the country.
There is still no information on human casualties or the extent of damage.
The attacks came hours after the Israeli military warned Iranians not to travel by train and to avoid railway stations across the country.
Regional escalations have continued since Israel and the US launched an offensive against Iran on February 28, killing more than 1,340 people, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iranian authorities have not updated the figures in recent days.
Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries that host US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure as well as disrupting global markets and aviation.
