Iran has warned that any ship belonging to countries that implement United States sanctions will face difficulties in passing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most strategic oil transport corridors.
According to statements published by the Iranian Tasnim agency, Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia stressed that Tehran will review the rules of passage through this strait, which is vital for global energy trade.
Iranian lawmakers have also announced that they are preparing a draft law aimed at formalizing the administration of the Strait of Hormuz. The draft also includes provisions prohibiting the passage of ships of "hostile states."
