Oil tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iranian media, has been halted following Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
Iran's Fars News Agency reported that tanker movements were halted in parallel with the Israeli attacks, without providing further operational details.
Earlier in the day, Fars reported that after US President Donald Trump accepted Iran's terms and a ceasefire was established, two oil tankers were given permission to safely pass through the strategic waterway.
Earlier, the Israeli military said it hit more than 100 sites 'within 10 minutes' in multiple areas in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley and southern Lebanon, marking the 'largest' coordinated attack since the start of the current offensive.
Yesterday, Trump announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran, noting that Tehran presented a 'workable' 10-point proposal for negotiations.
The ceasefire announcement came less than two hours before the expiration of a deadline that Trump had repeatedly extended to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and accept a deal or face the 'destruction of an entire civilization.'
