At least 55 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in southern and southeastern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, despite a ceasefire in place since April 17, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced.
According to authorities, the total number of casualties since the escalation of the conflict on March 2 has reached 2,951 dead and 8,988 injured.
The ministry stated that Israeli warplanes and drones have continued bombing residential areas south and north of the Litani River, while warning that the death toll could rise further in the coming hours.
