Only 27% of Americans approve of the U.S. strikes that killed Iran's leader, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. Meanwhile, 43% of respondents disapprove, while 29% say they are unsure.
The poll also shows that 56% of Americans believe that President Donald Trump is too willing to use military force to advance U.S. interests. This view is shared by 87% of Democrats, 60% of independents and 23% of Republicans.
The online poll of 1,282 American adults, with a margin of error of 3 percentage points, shows divided public opinion on military intervention and high skepticism about the current administration's approach to foreign policy.
