From kidnapping for AKSHI tenders to life threats! Gerond Meçe's

Journalist Klodiana Lala's "Në Shënjestër" show on News24 addressed the kidnapping of businessman Gerond Meçe, administrator of the company "Advanced Business Solutions ABS", who claims to have been taken hostage on August 12, 2025 by people disguised as police and BKH officers.

According to his testimony, he was taken to the Krraba area, threatened and forced to withdraw from the tender procedures and complaints against the AKSHI.

The documentary features Meçe's account of the kidnapping, the pressure to give the phone password, the communications with the company administrator, and the threats to his life. The material also presents his suspicions about the involvement of businessman Ermal Beqiri, which remains part of his statements in the documentary.

Excerpts from the documentary:

Gerond Meçe, who would accuse another businessman, Ermal Beqiri, who also appears at Agas' business premises in the presence of him and the director of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj, of being the one who had a hand in kidnapping and holding him hostage.

This was in order to drop the complaints that Meçe had made against AKSHI, for the disqualifications that this agency had made from time to time to his company from the competition.

As had happened when on August 12, 2025, Meçe was taken and held hostage for several hours outside Tirana.

My name is Gerond Meçe and my profession is an electronic engineer. I currently work in a private business.

From 2006 onwards I have been the sole partner and administrator of the company called 'Advanced Business Solutions ABS'.

Since 2016, with few exceptions, we have been a participant in almost every tender in the field of technology and information conducted by AKSHI (National Information Society Agency).

What I want to say is that from January 2025 to July of this year, the company 'ABS' has appealed nearly 20 procurement procedures in which it has participated, mainly in the AKSHI but also in other institutions such as the Supreme Court, UKT, etc.

On August 12, 2025, I was at home until around 10:30 in the morning.

When I left the building where I live, walking towards my car, I opened the trunk from a distance and put my backpack and handbag in there.

At this moment, a black 'Range Defender' SUV approached me, with police stripes and Albanian license plates, where I later saw that the license plates of this vehicle were AC121 JJ.

Where one of the people in the car, wearing a yellow vest with the inscription BKH, after calling me by name, said: 'We are SPAK, you have to come with us, get in the car.'

After I got into the car, the driver, who was wearing a mask, told one of the people to take my two bags into the trunk of my car.

After I said, 'Hey, I found out what you are,' one of the people in the car started handcuffing me after I refused to give him the password.

After the car headed towards Elbasan, the route continued to the old road, to the village of Krrabë.

When we stopped, they asked me to give them my phone password again. Which I refused to give them, but at that moment the driver came and slapped me.

During this time they took the phone and placed it on my finger as my hands were tied behind my back.

Gerond Meçe who further recounted how he was held hostage for approximately 5 hours.

Meanwhile, the people who had taken him hostage communicated from time to time from his phone with the administrator of his company, with the aim of having him withdraw the company from the tender procedures.

At first I said 'No', but I perceived that someone had organized this event because of my complaints.

Which was seven to nine procedures.

Meanwhile, the first person tells me: 'These are tenders that you have appealed and you should withdraw.'

I told them: 'Dude, this is not how things are done.'

Meanwhile, I tried to convince them that the withdrawal is not happening at this moment by telling them that I am no longer an administrator, which they told me they knew.

But I told them that if they were going to release me, I would do it in the coming days.

While it seemed to me that the situation was going in my favor, the first person, the one who previously wore the BKH t-shirt, told me to withdraw from the trial at the Administrative Court as well.

But while the first person was talking to me, I saw that the driver, but I suspect a fifth person who may have come nearby in another car, I believe a 'Volvo', started talking on my phone to the administrator of my company Sh. K, saying: 'You told us it wouldn't be done, while the administrator says it will be done.'

Also at this moment they asked the first person: 'What are we waiting for?'

As he told them: 'We have no confirmation.'

Meanwhile, the clock in front of me in the car was currently showing 15:10.

On the way back, the group of kidnappers used the police siren to clear the way.

As they were dropping me off, the driver told me: 'I don't want any problems from you, I don't want any complaints from you, otherwise we will kill you, your wife, your sister, your mother, because you don't have a father.'

But even though they promised to return his laptop and other personal belongings that they took, this does not seem to have happened.

Meanwhile, the businessman was left in the middle of the road without a phone and without money in his pocket.

Where only coincidence led him to return to the apartment.

And he started to think about everything that had happened.

How and who could have been the people who ordered and organized his kidnapping and threat.

Asked about the suspicions he had about possible people who could have had a hand in the kidnapping and what happened afterwards, the intention to withdraw from the tenders at AKSHI, or even the complaints, businessman Gerond Meçe focused on a name that, according to him, could be the pivot of this entire scenario.

This name was businessman Ermal Beqiri who, according to him, had strong connections within AKSHI.

But he was also a friend of Ergys Agas, where as will be seen below, they are often seen in each other's company.

This is also based on the footage that Agasi himself has preserved. Balkanweb.com
