The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has confirmed the security measure "prison arrest" for 29-year-old Ardit Gjakrosa, who was extradited two days ago from Germany to Albania.
The young man, originally from Mati, is accused by the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) of providing the conditions and material means to commit murder, within the framework of a structured criminal group.
The Special Court had imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on Gjakrosa in May 2024, while he was declared an international wanted person.
In addition to the charge of providing the conditions for the commission of the murder, the 29-year-old is also charged with the criminal offenses of "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group."
His extradition was carried out as part of the police operation codenamed "The Wanted", thanks to the cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Wiesbaden in Germany.
Upon arriving in Albania, Gjakrosa faced the Special Court, which decided to leave the security measure of "prison arrest" in force, while he will continue to face the charges brought by SPAK.
