Early in the morning, special forces from the Prison Police landed at the Bradashesh detention center. Many of the “residents” thought it was a routine cell search, looking for illegal items. But this time, the target was not the cells. It was a single character: Ergys Agasi.
There was a transfer order for the detainee, who is accused of being the leader of a criminal group within the AKSHI. He was told that he had to leave Bradasheshi, but Agasi insisted on first getting acquainted with his document and destination.
VNA sources indicate that the man considered Edi Rama's eminence grise was escorted to the first floor of the detention center, where there was an argument between him and the Prison Police forces. Agasi wanted to read the order, while the DAP officers were tasked with implementing it.
At noon, Ergys Agasi, who is suspected of having been helped to leave the country by the former head of the State Intelligence Service, Vlora Hyseni, arrived at Fier prison. Exactly where, just a day earlier, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, had been transferred.
No one can say for sure yet which sector Agasi will be placed in. But one thing is clear: his comfort in Bradashesh is over.
And here the story of an ordinary administrative transfer begins to take on a different color.
The authority to transfer a detainee belongs to the General Directorate of Prisons. But can a newly appointed director make decisions of this magnitude alone, for two such politically sensitive characters, within just 24 hours?
Or do the orders come from an office higher than Sadleva Bodo's?
The indications raise precisely this suspicion, although it remains unclear whether the Prisons Directorate alone is behind the transfers or whether another decision-making process was involved.
Meanwhile, beyond the debate over the orders and their authors, there remains a political coincidence that attracts attention. Two characters considered "enemies" of Belinda Balluku within the Socialist Party, Erion Veliaj and Ergys Agasi, are now in the same prison.
And the prison is the one in Fier.
The city that is also Belinda Balluku's political territory.
Administrative coincidence or a move with a political message? The answer is not yet found in the transfer orders. But the question remains: who decided that Veliaj and Agasi would end up, one after the other, precisely in Fier?
