
Distria Krasniqi shone this Saturday at the Paris Grand Slam, winning the gold medal in the up to 52 kilogram category. The Kosovar judoka triumphed in the final against Spanish Ariane Toro Soler, after a dominant performance throughout the tournament.
Her journey to the title included important victories over Brazil's Larissa Pimenta in the quarterfinals and France's Amandine Bouchard in the semifinals. With this success, Krasniqi records her ninth gold medal at the Paris Grand Slam.
The Olympic champion once again confirmed her high competitive level, demonstrating excellent physical form, tactical clarity and technical superiority over her opponents. This triumph further strengthens Distria Krasniqi's position as one of the biggest names in world judo and one of the most successful athletes Kosovo has produced.
