The draw for the UEFA Champions League play-off phase took place today, where the 16 qualified teams learned their rivals for this season's European journey.
Last season's finalists, Inter Milan of Italy, will face Bodo Glimt. The match looks easy for Christian Chivu's team, but the Norwegians have shown a qualitative increase, having previously beaten City and Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid, the record 15-time Champions League winners, will once again challenge Benfica of Lisbon. A few days after the last encounter that ended 4-2 in favor of the Portuguese, “Los Blancos” will seek revenge in the play-offs.
The French derby comes with reigning champions PSG facing Monaco, while the black and whites of Napoli, led by Luciano Spalletti, will challenge the Turks of Galatasaray.
Atletico Madrid will face Belgians Club Brugge, while Bergamo's Atalanta will have a tough challenge with Borussia Dortmund. Leverkusen, on paper favorites, will play Olympiakos.
The first legs of the play-off phase will take place on February 17 and 18, while the return legs will take place a week later.
