About a week before the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, the Italian-Albanian skier representing the red and black flag, Lara Colturi, experienced health difficulties during her last two World Cup races. At Kronplatz, she finished 20th, while in Spindleruv Mlyn she was disqualified, indicating that her physical condition was not optimal.
The high temperature during the race in Italy appears to have persisted and worsened during the journey to the Czech Republic, where she failed to finish the race. After that, one of the main sponsors transported her to a specialized hospital for further analysis.
According to the information provided, it is not a serious health problem; Colturi is dealing with a cold and some additional checks, with the aim of fully recovering and achieving optimal form for the race scheduled for February 15.
