The VNA editorial office has received a concern from a citizen regarding the service at the Korça hospital. According to him, despite the fact that official documents and statements state that the hospital has improved, the reality that patients face is completely different.
The citizen says that even for basic services there is a lack of medical supplies. "You put a needle in your mouth and they tell you to go buy it in front of the emergency room, because we don't have any," he says, describing the situation as a serious shortage in a public health institution.
According to him, the hospital constantly hears complaints about the lack of doctors, medicines and equipment. He adds that citizens face high costs, while not receiving the service they expect.
"We are paying a huge cost and on the other hand we hear that there are no doctors, no medicines, no equipment. Either they bring in good doctors and make the hospital functional, or let them close it down altogether. They can't just show us beauty on paper," the citizen says in a message sent to our editorial office.
The concern raised raises questions about the real state of service at the Korça regional hospital and the need for concrete interventions to improve conditions and guarantee healthcare for patients.
