Residents of the Dukat–Tragjas–Radhimë–Orikum Region have raised a series of serious accusations against state institutions and related actors. According to the community, the area is facing an organized process of depopulation, property theft, and building demolition, which threatens the very existence of the region.
The residents will file their charges with SPAK on Monday, claiming that:
1. Deliberate depopulation of the province
Residents claim that an organized plan is being carried out to remove them from the territory through the looting of property, the demolition of homes and businesses, and the creation of impossible living conditions.
2. Denial of the right to property and development
The community accuses corrupt institutions of using unfair laws to prevent residents from enjoying their property rights and economic development.
3. Abuse of the area's natural assets
Residents say the province's resources – such as the Tragjas water springs, the Radhimë–Orikum–Karaburun coastline, and the Llogara Park – are being exploited unfairly, excluding the local community from the benefits.
4. Disregard for the community in public projects
They denounce a complete lack of transparency and lack of public consultation in infrastructure projects affecting the area, despite the law requiring this.
5. Massive looting and alienation of property
According to residents, in the area of Radhima, Orikum, Karaburun, Old Tragjas, Dukat and Llogara there are numerous cases of forgery and overlapping of properties, accompanied by the demolition of buildings to facilitate occupation.
Residents declare that they are determined to collect all the necessary documentation to launch a legal battle at all levels.
