The National Food Authority (AKU) has announced the withdrawal from the market of a series of baby milk “Aptamil 1 Pronutra”, following a signal from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Animal Feed. According to the AKU, during official controls carried out, the presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus, was found in the infant milk formula.

The AKU informs that inspection bodies are immediately engaged in the field to verify the case and to withdraw the product from the market, in accordance with the legal procedures in force. The Authority calls on consumers who have this baby milk not to use it and return it to the points of sale where it was purchased.
