According to the indictment of the Pristina Prosecution, Naim Murseli was the person who promised a 30 thousand euro reward to Granit Plava, who is accused of firing the gun that killed Liridona Ademaj. Kushtrim Kokalla, according to the prosecution, had the role of putting Plava in contact with Murseli.
The initial hearing for this case was held on January 31, 2025. During this trial, a series of hearings were held, where witnesses were heard and a large amount of material evidence was presented.
The defendants Granit Plava, Kushtrim Kokalla and Naim Murseli, in the session dated 17.04.2026, had stated that they did not wish to participate in the announcement of the verdict.
At the session on 17.04.2026, the parties to the proceedings gave their final words.
The indictment in this case is represented by prosecutor Javorka Perlinčević.
On 31.01.2025, Naim Murseli pleaded not guilty to the charge of murdering Liridona Ademaj. While Kushtrim Kokalla refused to give a statement without consulting his lawyer, Ndrecë Dodaj.
Granit Plava, who according to the Prosecution is considered the person who fired the gun to kill Ademaj, had stated that he wanted to defend himself in silence.
Also accused in this case was Tom Dodaj, who was accused of selling the weapon used to kill Liridona Ademaj. The latter, in the initial hearing on 31.01.2025, had pleaded guilty to the criminal offense charged by the Prosecution.

KALLXO.com has managed to obtain the full indictment filed by prosecutor Javorka Perlincevic. The latter, in a conference called by Chief Prosecutor Zejnullah Gashi, stated that the delay in the indictment was due to several documents and requests that were requested from Sweden, to shed light on the motive behind the murder.
The prosecutor in the case described that Naim Murseli had planned to kill his wife due to disturbed family and marital relations. From these problems - as described in the indictment - arose his desire for revenge against his wife.
According to the indictment, after 25.06.2022, a life insurance policy was paid in the name of Liridona Ademaj, in the amount of 3 million Swedish kronor, with the aim of Murseli benefiting financially after the murder.
According to the file, Naim Murseli had shared this plan with his family member Kushtrim Kokalla, and the latter had refused to carry out the murder, but had then found the third person, Granit Plava, with whom he had introduced Naim Murseli.
According to the file, on 29.11.2023, at noon, Naim Murseli, together with Granit Plava, had purchased a "Zastava" type weapon, black in color, from Tom Dodaj, worth 280 euros.
On the same day, the file explains that in the time interval 20:11–20:18, at the place where the plan had been previously agreed upon between Naim Murseli and Granit Plava – staged to look like an armed robbery – the murder was committed.
According to the file, Naim Murseli had initially signaled Granit Plava with the car lights, then had grabbed Liridona Ademaj by the hand, so that she would not dodge the bullet after Plava fired. Afterwards, Naim got out of the car with the children and left the scene. For these actions, the Prosecution has charged him with the criminal offense of aggravated murder.
The second defendant is Granit Plava, who, according to the Prosecution, on the critical day, between 20:11 and 20:18, in the village of Bërnica, after a prior agreement with Naim Murseli, committed the murder in disguise, shooting at the victim, who died as a result. For this act, he would be compensated with an amount of 30,000 euros.
According to the Prosecution's file, Plava had approached the victim directly and shot her with a gun, while her ex-husband was holding the victim's arm so that she wouldn't dodge the bullet.
The weapon used in this case was found in the house of the accused Granit Plava, in the village of Cermjan in Gjakova. The weapon was seized after a raid on his apartment.
Plava is charged by the Prosecution with the criminal offenses of "aggravated murder" and "unlicensed possession of a weapon."
The third defendant is Kushtrim Kokalla, a relative of Naim Murseli. The file shows that he refused to commit the murder, but later found Granit Plava and introduced him to Naim Murseli.
Kokalla is also charged with the criminal offense of "aggravated murder".
The fourth defendant in this case was Tom Dodaj, who was charged with "supplying weapons" to the first three defendants, who planned and carried out the murder.
