A conflict between young people, started for a seemingly banal reason, has ended in tragedy in the city of Loutraki. A 17-year-old originally from Berat has lost his life, while a 19-year-old has been injured after a clash that degenerated into the use of cold weapons.
According to preliminary information from Greek authorities, everything started from a dispute over suspected damage to a motorcycle. The young man suspected of being the perpetrator of the attack met with the 19-year-old, a friend of the 17-year-old victim, with the aim of clarifying the situation. Three other young men were also present at the meeting.
The group moved by vehicle to an isolated area, on the road connecting the Loutraki Ring Road with the Holy Monastery of St. Patapi. There, the verbal clash escalated into physical violence. According to preliminary data, the suspected perpetrator pulled out a cutting tool, initially hitting the 19-year-old several times in the chest. In an attempt to neutralize him, the 17-year-old was hit on the left side of the chest, while another young man received minor injuries to his hand.
