Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, was summoned to the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) on Monday, according to unofficial sources.
The reason for the summons by prosecutor Dritan Prençi has not yet been officially announced, while there has been no public announcement from the institution regarding this development.
From Berlin, where he is participating in the international forum, Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted through a brief statement to Deutsche Welle.
"I have no comment on any case. As I have said, we have our work, justice has its work, and until certain issues take their definitive form, all people are innocent and unpunishable by the people's or political court," Rama said.
