The Constitutional Court's decision to remove Mayor Erion Veliaj from office, overturning the decision of the Council of Ministers and the President's decree, has also canceled the race for the Municipality of Tirana.
The three announced candidates, Ogerta Manastirliu, Florian Binaj and Arlind Qori, must suspend the meetings and engagements they had planned, while their dream of running Tirana is postponed for a "second moment".
At least until Veliaj, in an altruistic surprise, decides to resign, or Prime Minister Edi Rama finds some magic formula to hold elections in the capital.
Until then, the minister, the actor, and the professor must return to their previous routines, with fleeting memories of a confrontation that never took place... and with the small hope that perhaps one day it will.
