Following Sali Berisha's statements in Dibër, Ervin Salianji reacted with a harsh public message.
Salianji describes Berisha as "stigmatized" and not baselessly accused, claiming that he is the only politician in the Democratic Party proven by a Western court to be connected to organized crime and using these connections for political influence.
He emphasizes that, according to him, these assessments do not come from Albanian institutions, but from Western structures and decisions, including British ones.
Referring to the meeting in Debar, Salianji described it as a sign of Berisha's political decline, calling it an event with low participation and a "monologue with old accusations."
In his reaction, he adds that the Democratic Party's leadership model has not changed, despite the departures over the years, citing the same structures and methods of functioning.
Salianji states that Berisha is rejected by internationals and increasingly by the Democrats themselves, linking this to the lack of open competition in the party.
Finally, he warns of the publication of facts that, according to him, support these claims and describes the situation in the Democratic Party as a "hostage from the past."
