Prime Minister Rama, in his podcast "Flasim", spoke about the upcoming race for mayor of Tirana, following the dismissal of Erion Veliaj.
"Whoever votes for me and the Socialist Party will vote for Ogerta, to give Tirana the right leader and the right government partner at the head of the municipality, to continue the transformative work for the capital of Albania 2030," Rama declared.
Referring to the national competition, the head of government emphasized that these elections bring an absolute novelty, since in two large cities, Tirana and Vlora, the majority candidates are women with prominent careers in the field of healthcare: "Two women who have successfully led the University Hospital Center and the Vlora Regional Hospital, transforming them through their managerial capacity and iron will."
Rama did not spare irony towards the opposition candidate for Tirana, actor Florian Binaj, calling him "a comedian in the role of a supposedly independent candidate."
"The swamp is so desperate that Tirana has brought out a comedian in the role of a supposedly independent candidate, who for years has made everyone laugh, even the Socialist Party Congress itself," Rama said.
He added that "role actors live" and that he does not judge Binaj for his decision, but emphasized that "the opponents represent the most meaningful example of the next defeat."
