The Socialist Party Parliamentary Group has submitted a request for the expulsion of MP Sali Berisha from the Assembly for up to 60 days. According to the Socialists, the leader of the Democratic Party has used insulting and offensive language towards the European Union Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato. The PS argues this measure as a punishment for the use of inappropriate vocabulary in the plenary hall.
We recall that the day before, during the plenary session, Berisha spoke out against the draft law on gender equality.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party has filed a request for the 10-day suspension of Interior Minister Taulant Balla.
