On Monday at 09:30, the Ethics Secretariat will review the request submitted by 14 Socialist Party MPs for the exclusion of the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazmend Bardhi, from parliamentary work for 30 days.
The Socialist majority argues that Bardhi repeatedly violated the Assembly's rules of procedure during Thursday's plenary session, interrupting speakers and insulting the Assembly Speaker.
This is the second time that the majority has taken disciplinary measures against Bardhi during this legislature.
We recall that in the last session, Bardhi had another clash with the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, over the way the latter was leading the session. The head of the DP parliamentary group demanded that the Democratic MPs be given the right to ask questions to the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, Robert Gajda. But Peleshi did not agree, which angered Bardhi and he addressed him with the words "you are incompetent".
