Throughout last night, the Police and the Army continued to remove News 24's materials and computers.
Journalists and the editorial staff of this television station have made an urgent call for intervention, calling on foreign embassies, legal institutions, members of Parliament and party leaders, to intervene, as offices are being confiscated and data is being taken from journalists' computers.
These devices contain important information from corruption investigations, which not only constitute potential evidence against abuses, but also directly endanger the lives of the journalists and sources who provided them.
The call is clear: to immediately stop the theft of information and to guarantee all standards of security and media freedom, as a fundamental pillar of democracy in the country.
