Ilir Alimehmeti has been asked again about the possibility of running for the Municipality of Tirana in the by-elections, where he is facing Ogerta Manastirliut.
Invited to the show "Log." on News24, he recalled that in the 2022 race he had plenty of time to prepare, while now the deadlines are very tight.
"I competed in 2022 in the Primary for a process that was in 2023. Even though the term of office was complete, even though the preparation time was complete, at these moments we are in different conditions," he said.
His statement hints that the candidacy remains difficult, but not completely ruled out, keeping the competition within the opposition for the name that will challenge the Socialists in the capital still open.
